Growing up in the Northern CA, where cow horse and the working western lifestyle was thriving, Amanda was in love with horses from as early as she can remember. She began producing shows in 1999 starting with Reining by the bay in 1999.

Best known for her innovative show production in the industry such as pioneering the 4 year old futurities, Amateur division for reining and one of our personal favorites: creating a spectator driven event for reining – The Run For A Million!
Horses, riders and owners are coming to Scottsdale, Arizona, from across the country to take their chance at The Run For A Million qualifier, held at the Cactus Reining Classic.
Cactus also hosts the filming of The Last Cowboy, (this season is shaping up to be the best one yet), and you never know, you might see Taylor Sheridan, a few of the actors, and equine talent from the hit Paramount series Yellowstone.
Amanda shares in this episode of ReinerStop TV how horse show productions have significantly evolved over the last several years.
Amanda isn’t afraid to try new things in the industry. Most recently, she lead the charge on creating a $10,000 added Amateur Derby division for non-professionals who are also not related to professional trainers.
Amanda believes the industry is ready for it, with over 70 entries in her class in 2021, and even more entered at the NRHA Derby’s test event. Listen in this episode as we discuss where the approval process is within the NRHA, and if you listen really closely, you’ll even hear about a brand new class recommendation from a viewer, that you may be able to expect at an coming Brumley Management show!
